UMNO CAN STILL BE SAVED ( Lihat berita di bawah)
Yang Amat Berhormat
Datuk Seri Najib Tun Abdul Razak,
Presiden UMNO Malaysia.

ZAM : UMNO CAN STILL BE SAVED
By Syauqi Jamil
KUALA LUMPUR: Although some Umno members have left the party after losing confidence with president and Prime Minister Najib Razak, others opted to stay behind due to their loyalty and love for the oldest and biggest political party in Malaysia.
For one, former information minister Zainuddin Maidin, believes that Umno can still be saved by changing for the better should Najib step down from the party top post.
He said there were a few leaders within the Umno supreme coucil who can return the confidence and trust of the masses to Umno, specifically Deputy Prime Minister and Umno vice president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
“I am still an Umno member as so far I have not been sacked. I am still convinced that Umno can still be saved if Najib resigns. Majority of the members still love Umno but just don’t want Najib to lead.
“Many may not agree with me but we can’t deny the influence Zahid has in Umno. He has the necessary quality of a good Malay leader in terms of religion, speech and leadership. He is also more qualified than the other veep, Hishammuddin Hussein.
“If Zahid takes over as prime minister and Umno president, things will stop from deteriorating further. The situation in the party may still be salvaged,” he told Berita Daily.
In a recent exclusive interview, Zainuddin, fondly known as Zam, pointed out that Zahid’s less than admirable command of the English language was not an essential criteria to determine the quality of a leader.
He made an example out of incumbent Indonesian president Joko Widodo who also does not have a strong command in English.
He added that unlike Najib who from a very young age was groomed to be a leader, Zahid on the other hand has the appeal of a natural born leader.
“Najib is not a natural born leader, his leadership skills are acquired, he was groomed to be a leader from young. That is why he became the youngest Pahang MB.
“That is why all of Najib’s political actions do not seem genuine. Every time he goes to meet the people, it does not look genuine.
“Take for example Argentine Marxist revolutionary Ernesto ‘Che’ Guevara. Even though he came from a wealthy background, he willingly wanted to be one with the people. Unfortunately the same can’t be said for Najib,” he said.
Recently Zainuddin caused a stir when he posted an article in his blog titled ‘Nak mampus, mampuslah Umno’ (Die if you want to, Umno).
In the article, he urged the Special Affairs Department, the Police Special Branch, Military Intelligence as well as Umno machinery to express the real sentiment of the people to Najib for the sake of the Malays and Umno.
He said a genuine report from these parties would tell the real truth about Najib’s leadership.
“I am saying this because I am sincere and love the party…if they do not want to work on this what else can I say… ‘Nak mampus, mampuslah Umno’.”
Commenting on the matter further, Zainuddin said the reason he wrote the article was because he trully loved Umno and that he was fed up with the people asking him openly if Najib would resign anytime soon.(Dipetik dari Berita Daily 21 Februari 2017)
